Istanbul Airport breaks daily flight record
Istanbul Airport experienced its busiest day since opening with 1,730 flight movements on May 31. Minister Uraloğlu announced the record.
Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu announced that Istanbul Airport reached 1,730 flight movements on May 31. It was stated that this figure is the highest daily traffic recorded since the airport's opening. The statement emphasized that Istanbul Airport continues to stand out in global aviation with its increasing capacity and strong connection network. It was recalled that the previous daily flight record at the airport was broken on July 18, 2025, with 1,707 flights, and the passenger record was set on August 2, 2025, with 284,527 people.
