Health Minister Memişoğlu announced that they will strengthen primary and preventive healthcare services in line with the 2027–2029 Medium-Term Program.
Memişoğlu said that, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, they are advancing toward the goals of the “Healthy Türkiye Century” with an approach to healthcare that protects, develops and produces.
New targets for healthcare services
The plan aims to develop home healthcare and palliative care services through an integrated structure. Increasing the effectiveness of university hospitals in education, research and healthcare delivery is also among the priorities.
The plan includes increasing domestic production capacity in vaccines, medicines, medical devices and artificial intelligence technologies; ensuring financial sustainability through value-based reimbursement models; and improving Türkiye’s international position in health tourism through service quality.
Memişoğlu said they would continue their work with citizens’ access to the best healthcare as their guiding principle and thanked those who contributed to preparing the program.
