Economic and security agenda for the talks
During the meeting, Hakan Fidan is expected to view the goal of increasing bilateral trade to $10 billion as important for developing economic relations and mutual investments.
Fidan is expected to express satisfaction with strategic cooperation in energy, transport and connectivity, and emphasize the commitment to implementing new joint projects. The talks are also expected to address the importance of developing military and defense industry cooperation between Türkiye and Hungary.

Fidan is also expected to assess Hungary's active and constructive participation in the Organization of Turkic States and its contribution to developing interaction and cooperation between the Turkic world and Europe. The talks are also expected to include the message that Türkiye-European Union relations should be addressed on the basis of Europe's strategic and geopolitical realities.
EU relations and regional issues
The talks are expected to cover the modernization of the Customs Union, the visa liberalization dialogue and the European integration process within the framework of Türkiye-EU relations. Fidan is expected to stress the need for a forward-looking approach to relations based on mutual benefit and the principle of equal partnership.
Fidan is expected to express satisfaction with Hungary's continued support and constructive contribution to Türkiye's accession process to the European Union. The talks are also expected to include the message that Europe's security cannot be considered separately from Türkiye's capabilities and potential.
The sides are expected to exchange views on Türkiye's effective inclusion in the European Union's security and defense initiatives, the Russia-Ukraine war, the situation in Gaza and Palestine, the Balkans, Iran and developments around the Strait of Hormuz.
