İbrahim Kosalak dies after falling into a pond in Konya
39-year-old İbrahim Kosalak, who went on a picnic by the pond in Akören district of Konya, lost his balance and fell into the water while trying to retrieve his fishing rod after it fell into the water. His lifeless body was found and an investigation into his death is underway.
The incident occurred in the morning hours at Akören Pond near Akören district of Konya. 39-year-old İbrahim Kosalak, who went to the pond for a picnic with his family, cast his fishing rod into the water to fish.
When his fishing rod fell into the pond, Kosalak tried to retrieve it but lost his balance and fell into the water. He disappeared in the pond.
Upon notification, underwater search and rescue teams from Konya Provincial Police Department, gendarmerie, fire brigade and medical personnel were dispatched to the scene.
As a result of the search efforts carried out by the teams in the pond, İbrahim Kosalak's lifeless body was recovered. An investigation into the incident is underway.
