Fire at Eskişehir TEI campus brought under control, no casualties

Fire and Response

A fire broke out at around 9:30 p.m. at the TUSAŞ Engine Industries (TEI) campus in the Esentepe neighborhood of Tepebaşı district in Eskişehir.

The initial response was carried out by the campus fire brigade. Following the alert, Eskişehir fire department and water tenders from the Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to the scene. A TOMA vehicle from the Eskişehir Police Department also provided support.

Statement from the President of Defense Industries

President of Defense Industries Haluk Görgün stated on his social media account that the fire was being tackled from the air and on the ground. Görgün said, 'We have no casualties. Efforts by crews to bring the fire under control are ongoing.' He also warned, 'Developments regarding this unfortunate incident will be shared with the public, and information other than official statements should not be trusted.'

Fire Brought Under Control

Haluk Görgün later announced that the fire had been brought under control. He stated, 'The fire that occurred at our TEI campus in Eskişehir has been brought under control as a result of the dedicated efforts of our teams.'
