I.R., wanted by Moldova under a Red Notice, was arrested in Istanbul's Esenyurt district
I.R., who was sentenced to eight years in prison for drug trafficking and was wanted by Moldova's judicial authorities under a Red Notice, was arrested in Istanbul's Esenyurt district.
Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crime Branch conducted an operation to apprehend internationally wanted suspects.
The teams determined that I.R., who had been sentenced to eight years in prison for drug trafficking and was wanted by Moldova's judicial authorities under a Red Notice, was in Istanbul. Following technical and physical surveillance, the suspect's address in Esenyurt was identified.
I.R., who was apprehended in the operation, will be transferred to a removal center after the completion of procedures at the police station.
