In a statement made by the Iran Intelligence Ministry on Wednesday, it was stated that after enemy forces failed to achieve their goals through military attacks, they are trying to weaken the Islamic Republic using methods such as economic pressure, cyber attacks, terrorism, and psychological warfare. The ministry expressed that the enemies are attempting to compensate for their military defeats with a secret intelligence and security war. The statement emphasized that the enemies' clear objectives to divide and overthrow Iran in the recent war have failed. Following the attacks launched by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28, Iran responded with missile and unmanned aerial vehicle attacks on Israeli-occupied territories and US bases in the region. The ministry noted that the enemies are now focusing more on soft, cognitive, and hybrid warfare tactics. Increasing economic pressure, attempts to incite social unrest through inflation and shortages, and provoking ethnic and religious tensions were listed among the primary threats. Additionally, it was stated that Zionist-backed terrorist groups are particularly used for sabotage and border attacks in Iran's northwest and southeast regions. Assassination plans, sabotage, arms smuggling, cyber attacks, and the use of illegal communication tools were also listed as significant threats. The ministry also condemned the hostile activities supported by foreign Persian-language broadcasters such as BBC Persian, Voice of America, and Iran International.
