Karayalçın: Kılıçdaroğlu did not return my call

Murat Karayalçın said he tried to meet with Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu but his phone was not answered. Karayalçın emphasized that the internal party process should not be prolonged following the developments in CHP. Karayalçın's statements came amid ongoing debates in the party after the Ankara Regional Court of Justice's decision regarding the CHP congress. After the decision, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu was reinstated as the CHP Chairman. Although Kılıçdaroğlu said he would manage the process together with former chairmen, different reactions came from Hikmet Çetin and Murat Karayalçın. Karayalçın argued that a line preserving the unity of the party should be followed. He also stated that waiting for the congress was not right and that a new process should begin as soon as possible. According to him, the party is a deeply rooted structure that will not be shaken by a few court decisions. The former chairman also expressed that the events increased uncertainty within the party.
