The wounds of the massive forest fire that broke out in Antalya's Manavgat district in the summer of 2021 and lasted for days have been healed. Homes suitable for local architecture were built by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change for citizens whose houses burned in the fire and delivered to the rightful owners. In the same period, reforestation, seeding and natural rejuvenation efforts restored the destroyed forest areas to green cover.

Tahsin Uysal, the muhtar of Kalemler neighborhood, one of the hardest-hit points, described the transformation from that day to today. Noting that he was also injured during the fire, Uysal stressed that the state kept its promises and said:
On the morning of July 28, 2021, our village faced a massive fire disaster. We made every effort to stop it, but because the fire was so intense, it was impossible. Around 50–55 houses in our village burned. We lost our green areas; it was covered in pitch-black vegetation. On the second day of the fire, with the arrival of our President to the village, a promise was made that the houses would be rebuilt and that tractors would be given to our farmers whose tractors had burned. I consider it a duty to thank on behalf of myself and my neighborhood; all the promises were kept. A year after the fire, our President again honored our village with a visit and personally handed over the keys. Looking back five years later, the neighborhood residents are now living comfortably in their homes. The vegetation that turned black in 2021 is now, as you can see, lush green. We thank everyone who contributed.

Neighborhood resident İbrahim Özbay also said they still remember the horror of the fire day as if it were yesterday, but that the wounds were healed with state support. "In 2021, a huge fire broke out in our village. Our entire village burned. After the fire, our homes were built, just as promised. There is no trouble or problem now. May God protect our state and our nation. It happened fast; our village burned within half an hour to an hour. May God never show us such pain again," he said.

In areas affected by the forest fire, the vegetation has regenerated through five years of efforts. The houses built for families whose homes were damaged have enabled the local population to return to their daily lives.
