Family cuts short Muğla boat holiday after mouse sighting
A family who rented a boat for a holiday in Muğla cut their trip short after discovering there was no shower, being asked to pay for items broken by waves, and spotting a mouse on board. The family said they were unable to recover part of the money they paid.
A family who rented a boat for a holiday in Muğla cut their holiday short due to the problems they experienced. According to the family's claim, the lack of a shower on the boat, being asked to pay for kitchen items broken by waves, and spotting a mouse on the boat turned the holiday into a nightmare.
The family noticed that despite being told before renting that the rooms had showers, there was no shower on the boat. They also said that plates and glasses in the cupboards broke due to strong waves at sea. The family claimed they were asked to pay 2,000 lira for the broken items, and that the boat captain, finding this approach wrong, offered to pay the money out of his own pocket.
The holidaymakers stated that their ordeal did not end there, claiming they saw a mouse on the kitchen counter during dinner on the second night. Expressing concerns about hygiene and safety, the family reacted by saying, "We were humiliated with our own money."
Forced to cut their holiday short, the family said they were able to get back part of the money they paid, but a significant amount was not refunded. They voiced their grievance by saying, "Where will we go? All the hotels are full."
