Joint operation in Istanbul and Sakarya seizes 339 kg of liquid methamphetamine

Teams from the Istanbul Police Department's Narcotics Crimes Division launched an operation after technical and physical surveillance targeting the crime of 'manufacturing and trafficking of drugs or stimulants.' In coordinated efforts with the Sakarya Provincial Police Department, suspects involved in drug trafficking in Sakarya were identified.

The teams carried out simultaneous raids yesterday on five identified residential addresses, two business premises, and a tow truck. Five suspects deemed to be involved in drug trafficking were taken into custody during the raids.

Detailed searches at the addresses led to the seizure of a total of 339 kilograms and 700 grams of liquid methamphetamine. The detained suspects will be referred to court after processing at the police station.
