Miley Cyrus has responded to criticism of her Hollywood Bowl comeback concert, her first live performance in four years. The Friday night show drew criticism because Cyrus did not sing every word of hits such as "Party in the USA" and "Flowers."
Addressing the audience at the second concert on Sunday, Cyrus said the shows were "more to me than an experiment" and that performing no longer comes as naturally as it once did. She said she had considered not coming on stage and running away before the song "Orbit," but did not want to leave fans unfulfilled.

"I can take a lot, but one thing I will not stand is any question about where my heart is when I'm on the stage. I am fully present," Cyrus said.
