Minister Çiftçi issued a statement on the Bill on the Protection of Children and Amendments to Certain Laws, which was adopted by the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Türkiye.
Çiftçi said they would not leave children exposed to harm, adding that protecting children means protecting a generation and Türkiye’s future.
Çiftçi said the legislation aims not only to impose punishment but also to block the path to crime and identify risks in advance, adding that the law would provide protection for children.
Çiftçi said they were working in the field with governors, district governors and law enforcement units, adding that their goal was not to catch the final link in the chain of crime but to break its first link.
Çiftçi also said that, under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, they would not leave any child in darkness, and thanked those who contributed to drafting the law.
