Eyewitnesses describe the incident
Eyewitness Zeki Türkmen said, 'A white Doblo car trying to enter the station signaled but could not notice the municipal bus coming from the right, or if it did, it couldn't avoid. That caused the bus to swerve. As a result of this swerve, it first hit a tree. The deceased person hit my car and died.'
Another eyewitness, İlhan Orhan, said, 'From what we saw, the bus overtook a small car and couldn't recover after the overtake. It hit trees and a pole. I don't know if the deceased person was thrown from the vehicle or was a pedestrian. He was a man around 30-35 years old. There were quite a few injured on the bus.'
Investigation launched
Following the accident, relevant units within the EGO General Directorate took action. The vehicle's camera recordings were taken for examination, and technical and administrative processes were initiated.
