Hezbollah leader Naim Qassem declared at the Central Ashura Council meeting held in Beirut that the disarmament of the group can never be a subject of discussion under any circumstances.
Qassem delivered his speech at the shrine of Martyrs' Master Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah. The council meeting was held on Wednesday.
Praise for the Iran Agreement
Qassem referred to the recently reached US-Iran agreement, congratulating the Iranian people, the resistance, and the "free people" on this development.
He thanked Tehran for including Lebanon in this agreement.
Harsh Accusations Against the US and Israel
The Hezbollah leader claimed that the war waged by the US and Israel against Iran aims to overthrow the Islamic government and eliminate life in the country.
Qassem also alleged that the enemies target Hezbollah’s military, training, economic, and social presence in Lebanon. In response, he said they are fighting to "defend their existence."
Emphasis on "Greater Israel" and Lebanon
Qassem stated that they have broken the "Greater Israel project." He argued that Lebanon would collapse without the resistance and noted that despite air, sea, and land blockades, Hezbollah has managed to procure the necessary military equipment to fight.
Qassem reiterated that any negotiations with the enemy should be limited to security issues only and that disarmament cannot be brought up on the agenda.
