National para swimmer Defne Kurt wins European title in Paris
National para swimmer Defne Kurt won the gold medal by claiming the 100-meter freestyle final in 59.21 at the European Swimming Championships in Paris.
National para swimmer Defne Kurt won the 100-meter freestyle final at the European Swimming Championships in Paris, the capital of France.
Kurt completed the final in 59.21 to take the gold medal.
Second medal at the championships
The national athlete also competed in the 50-meter freestyle at the event. Kurt won the silver medal in the category with a time of 27.13.
The Turkish Swimming Federation congratulated European champion Defne Kurt and her coach, Nuriye Renin Gemicioğlu Oyeniyi.
Minister Bak sends congratulations
Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak also congratulated Defne Kurt on winning the gold medal at the European Swimming Championships.
