A long-term partnership has been launched between national shooter Yusuf Dikeç and Turkish defense and firearms company Derya Arms. The partnership was announced at a press conference in Istanbul.
As part of the partnership, Dikeç will share his views and assessments on sporting use and user experience with Derya Arms, drawing on his professional athletic experience and knowledge gained in international competitions.
Derya Arms’ engineering, design, research and development, manufacturing and product development processes will continue to be carried out independently by the company’s authorized technical teams.
Derya MAX and DY9Z products take center stage
With its Derya MAX product family, Derya Arms aims to establish a strong position in international sport shooting and the International Practical Shooting Confederation. DY9Z, representing the company’s next-generation product approach, was introduced with an emphasis on its performance, design language and range of color options.
Following the signing ceremony, guests examined the Derya MAX, DY9Z and Derya MAX Anti-Drone products. Derya Arms said the Derya MAX Anti-Drone had been developed in response to advances in drone technologies and changing security needs.
Derya Arms’ production capacity
Derya Arms Chairman of the Board Mehmet Çeler said the company operates with more than 400 workers across a total of 65,000 square meters of enclosed space—35,000 square meters in Konya’s Beyşehir district and 30,000 square meters in central Konya.
Çeler said the company has a factory in the United States and distribution offices in Europe, adding that they had brought three types of firearms for sporting activities, as well as the anti-drone product, for display at the event.
Describing Dikeç as a valued athlete who has brought recognition to Türkiye, Çeler said there were athletes in different disciplines waiting to be discovered and supported. He said the company supports athletes in various disciplines, including archery and wrestling, and has its own teams and sports units.
Dikeç will share his experience with the company’s engineers
Yusuf Dikeç said he had represented Türkiye as a competitor in many parts of the world for approximately 25 to 26 years and would share his knowledge and experience with Derya Arms’ engineers and research and development department.
Dikeç said they had decided to combine the experience he had gained with Derya Arms and that he would convey this knowledge to the company’s engineers. He said the partnership had been launched with the aim of creating a new structure in Türkiye that would manufacture in this field.
Dikeç said it would make him and other athletes happy to see Türkiye’s defense industry represented in larger markets and across a broader range of products worldwide.
Production and distribution network
Derya Arms manufactures products for sporting, hunting, tactical and other professional applications, focusing on developing its engineering, research and development, manufacturing, distribution and local-market capabilities within an integrated structure. The company supports its production in Türkiye with local capacity in the United States and a distribution network in Europe.
