NATO's Norfolk Command congratulates Türkiye on Republic Day
NATO's Joint Force Command Norfolk (JFC Norfolk), based in the U.S. state of Virginia, celebrated Türkiye's Republic Day on October 29 with the message, "Happy Republic Day, Türkiye!"

The command's message featured photographs of Turkish soldiers and a Turkish pilot posing in front of an F-16 aircraft belonging to the Turkish Air Force.
The command oversees the North Atlantic
JFC Norfolk, which became operational in Norfolk, Virginia, in 2019, serves as a joint force command responsible for NATO operations in the North Atlantic and the security of maritime links between North America and Europe.
Türkiye has been a NATO member since 1952 and has the alliance's second-largest military.
