One person injured in concrete pump explosion in Kayseri
The pump of a concrete mixer exploded at the underground bazaar construction site in Kayseri's Cumhuriyet Square. A person passing below at the time was injured when mortar spilled on them; the victim was taken to hospital and later discharged.
The incident occurred around 3:00 p.m. at the disabled elevator construction site at the Underground Bazaar in Cumhuriyet Square. While work was underway, the pump of a concrete mixer exploded.
A person passing below, whose name could not be learned, was injured when mortar spilled on them. Police and medical teams were dispatched to the scene upon notification. After initial first aid, the victim was taken to hospital and later discharged after treatment.
Investigation ongoing
An investigation into the incident has been launched.
