Georgia's State Electricity System announced that power supply returned to normal nationwide after a major outage on Saturday morning.
This is the second large-scale power outage in Georgia in the last two days. The first occurred on Friday night, and the second hit on Saturday morning.
The company said in a statement: “As soon as the fault was identified, Georgia's State Electricity System immediately began work to restore the energy system. Thanks to intensive and coordinated efforts, power began to be restored to consumers gradually in the shortest possible time.”
Experts continue to investigate the exact cause of the outage. Officials said further details will be shared once the investigation is complete.
