Protests against a tourism project allegedly linked to U.S. President Donald Trump's family continued for the 27th day in Albania's capital, Tirana.
The crowd, gathered at Skanderbeg Square under the slogan "Albania is not for sale," protested the sale of a coastline in the Zvërnec area of Vlorë as part of the project.
Protesters carrying Albanian flags marched to the prime minister's office and continued their demonstrations on various streets of the capital.
The project is alleged to be linked to Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump and son-in-law Jared Kushner. Albanian media announced that the special prosecutor's office launched an investigation into the project.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, in a statement to CNN, denied claims that the approximately $4 billion Zvërnec project belongs to the Trump family.
Protests began on May 30 with thousands of participants; in the early days, police used water cannons to disperse demonstrators.
