ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci said the number of applications and competitors in the Rocket Competition held in Aksaray as part of TEKNOFEST has increased every year.
İkinci said bringing ROKETSAN engineers together with students enables the exchange of knowledge and experience in rocketry and missile technologies. He said the competition had reached a significant point in terms of the number of participants and organizational capacity.
IHA-300 test
Assessing the firing test carried out by the Bayraktar AKINCI attack unmanned aerial vehicle with the IHA-300 supersonic ballistic missile developed by ROKETSAN, İkinci said the missile successfully hit a target more than 250 kilometers away.
İkinci said the IHA-300 was developed as an air-to-ground system that enables both unmanned aerial vehicles and fighter jets to engage targets at longer distances, adding that they want to expand the missile family.
İkinci said the IHA-300 enables unmanned aerial vehicles to engage targets more than 300 kilometers away and fighter jets to engage targets more than 500 kilometers away. He said the IHA-122 and IHA-230 missiles are also in use in the inventory, adding that they aim to increase capabilities in this area.

TAYFUN Block-4 development
İkinci announced that testing of the TAYFUN Block-4 hypersonic ballistic missile, designed to strengthen Türkiye's defense capabilities at the regional and global levels, is continuing.
İkinci said the work was progressing according to plan and that the mass production process for TAYFUN Block-4 would begin once testing was complete.
Test site
As part of the IHA-300 test, Bayraktar AKINCI took off on September 11 from the Çorlu Flight Training and Test Center in Tekirdağ. The ROKETSAN-produced IHA-300 munition, fired from the aircraft after it reached the test area over the Black Sea off Sinop, hit the target at sea with pinpoint accuracy.
ROKETSAN had previously completed the integration of its IHA-122 and IHA-230 supersonic missiles with Bayraktar AKINCI.
