Hasan Keskin, 72, became one of the most photographed visitors at TEKNOFEST Southeast in Şanlıurfa, walking the festival grounds in a historic warrior costume he had made specially.

Posing with his helmet, armor and axe in front of the platform displaying the Bayraktar KIZILELMA, Keskin drew crowds of children and young people who lined up for photos.

Keskin, who did his military service in Malazgirt in 1974, said he has toured 67 provinces in the costume, which he wears for national holidays, to introduce younger generations to Turkish history and encourage them to pursue science and technology. At the festival he told visitors about the 1071 Battle of Manzikert and the Turks' arrival in Anatolia.
He said he was proud of the technological progress and drone displays he saw at TEKNOFEST, which runs at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport until October 4.
