The State Bureau of Investigation, Security Service, and border guards in Ukraine jointly detained a soldier. The suspect is accused of putting up for sale drones and parts belonging to his military unit.
According to the investigation file, the military equipment was recorded as lost in combat. This method concealed the fact that the equipment never reached the units it was supposed to be delivered to.
Each Sold Item Recorded Individually
Authorities reported that the investigation documented the sale of 16 FPV-type multirotor drones, 16 batteries, and 17 antennas. The total value of these items was 105,000 hryvnias.
The detained individual is a senior combat medic assigned to the unit's drone operations. He was caught during the handover of the money.
Serious Charges Filed
The soldier faces charges under Article 410, Paragraph 4 of the Ukrainian Criminal Code, which covers theft, embezzlement, fraud, and abuse of duty related to military equipment and weapons.
The case file states that the equipment was allocated for combat missions, but the records were falsified. The investigation is ongoing.
