South Korean President Lee Jae-myung said that the International Criminal Court's (ICC) arrest warrant for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should be reviewed. Lee strongly condemned the Israeli army's seizure of the Global Sumud Fleet, which was carrying aid to Gaza and included South Korean activists. Speaking at a cabinet meeting, Lee emphasized that the legal basis for whether the ship entered Israeli territorial waters or violated any borders should be questioned. Lee said, "Almost all European countries have issued arrest warrants for Netanyahu and planned to arrest him if he entered their territories. We should evaluate this as well." He also stated that Israel has violated international norms and that this situation has long been tolerated. Lee expressed that Israel's occupation of Gaza is against international law. South Korean National Security Advisor Wi Sung-lac said the conflict began with Hamas's attack on Israel, resulting in about 2,000 deaths, after which Israel imposed military control over the area. When Lee asked if Gaza is Israeli territory, Wi responded that it is not. Lee stated that the seizure of third-country ships is a matter of common sense and law. It was reported that two South Korean citizens were among those on the seized ships. The fleet, consisting of more than 50 vessels that have set out from Turkey's Marmaris district since 2007 to break Israel's blockade of Gaza, was said to include 426 participants.
