Storm toppled hundreds of pine trees in Kütahya
After the storm on Türkmen Mountain near Lütfiye village in Kütahya, 530 pine trees were damaged. Forestry teams continue damage assessment work.
Türkmen Mountain within the borders of Lütfiye village, affiliated to the center of Kütahya, suffered severe damage after the storm and heavy rain. Hundreds of pine trees were toppled in the area, some uprooted. According to initial assessments, 530 pine trees were damaged. It was reported that 169 of them were broken, and 361 were uprooted and toppled. The total volume of the damaged trees in the area was stated to be 329 cubic meters. While forestry teams continue their field inspections, it was stated that the impact of the storm spread over a wider area in some spots. After the destruction around Lütfiye Village, reorganization and afforestation work in the forest is expected to be carried out.
