The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TİKA) continued its efforts to bring young people together through sports in Mali, a West African country. TİKA said it provided a modern football pitch for Medine High School in the Samanko region.
TİKA said the project improved opportunities for the school’s approximately 200 students to play sports. The agency aims to contribute to raising healthy future generations through projects of this kind.

Fenced and illuminated pitch
Aerial photographs show the pitch, covered with green synthetic turf and surrounded by a wire fence, directly beside the school building. Lighting poles also stand around the pitch.

The school’s students also posed for photographs on the new pitch in their uniforms and with footballs beside a TİKA-branded banner.
