US President Donald Trump described Iran's stance in nuclear negotiations as 'incredibly hypocritical'. In a post on his Truth Social account, Trump argued that Iran first begged to meet with the US, then acted inconsistently by publicly saying they only met with Oman.
Trump said, "The Iranian leadership is incredibly hypocritical. They request a meeting, even beg for it, the talks begin and new ones are planned for the near future, then they openly and proudly say they had no meeting (with the US), nothing was discussed, and they only negotiated with Oman."
The US President stated that despite Iran's claims to the contrary, the Strait of Hormuz is controlled by the American navy and that no ship they do not want will pass through the strait until Iran signs an agreement.
Trump reiterated at the end of his post that Iran will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons under any circumstances.
The US President had announced a day earlier that negotiations with Iran would resume today and that he had halted planned attacks.
