Turkish Airlines sets new daily record with 352,715 passengers on August 2
Turkish Airlines (THY) set a new record in daily passenger numbers by carrying 248,922 passengers on August 1. The following day, together with AJet, it reached the highest operational figure of all time with a total of 352,715 passengers and 2,034 flights.
Turkish Airlines (THY) broke its all-time daily passenger record by carrying 248,922 passengers on August 1.
According to a statement from THY's Communication Directorate, the flag carrier continued its record performance on August 2 as well. On that date, THY carried 248,318 passengers and AJet carried 104,397, bringing the total to 352,715.
When AJet operations were added to the 1,388 flights operated by THY that day, the total number of flights reached 1,970. With the inclusion of Turkish Cargo, the daily total number of flights reached 2,034, marking the highest operational figure in the company's history.
