The Turkey Futgolf Association is organizing a public summer tournament called The Summer Cup at Bodrum Golf Club on July 18-19 to bring the sport of footgolf to wider audiences.
Unlike the stages of the Turkish Footgolf Championship, the event does not require participants to be licensed athletes. Before the tournament, which is open to anyone wanting to try footgolf for the first time, a brief briefing will be given on the basic rules and format of the game.
Volkan Okandar, President of the Turkey Futgolf Association, explained the purpose of the tournament: "In the Turkish Footgolf Championship stages, only our association's licensed athletes compete. The Summer Cup is organized with a completely different concept. Anyone curious about footgolf or wanting to try this sport can participate in our tournament. We are not just organizing a tournament; we are bringing people who have never met footgolf together with this sport. Perhaps a participant who steps onto the field for the first time in this event will become one of Turkey's most successful footgolf athletes in the future. Our biggest goal is to grow the footgolf family and bring this beautiful sport to wider audiences."
The tournament will conclude with an award ceremony on Sunday, July 19 at 7:30 PM. Those wishing to participate can access details about the registration process through the association's official communication channels.
