Türkiye's seed exports
Türkiye has become a major exporter of seeds in recent years. The country's geographic position between Asia and Europe, its climate and its seed-growing areas provide advantages for the industry.
Türkiye exports seeds to 117 countries and ranks 10th in the world in the seed industry. When ornamental plants, seedlings and saplings are included, the number of countries to which exports are made exceeds 130.
While the ratio of exports to imports stood at 108% in 2018, it has now risen to as much as 141%.
