Türkiye’s Defense Industry Agency (SSB) and ROKETSAN carried out a new test firing of the TAYFUN ballistic missile from Rize-Artvin Airport on the Black Sea coast, under tight security inside and around the airport.

The missile was fired after its launcher was raised on the shore of the airport, which is built on land reclaimed from the sea. The test was completed successfully.

Developed by ROKETSAN, TAYFUN is the longest-range missile Türkiye has produced with national means. It was previously tested from the same site on Oct. 18, 2022, May 23, 2023, Feb. 3, 2025 and Dec. 12, 2025. The TAYFUN Block-2 has already entered the army’s inventory, and the hypersonic Block-4 is expected to follow soon.
