Türkiye's chicken meat production rose 3.7% year on year to 237,749 tonnes in August
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced that 237,749 tonnes of chicken meat were produced in August. Chicken meat production rose 3.7% year on year but fell 5.6% month on month, while chicken egg production reached 2,040,054,000.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) released poultry production statistics for August. Chicken meat production rose 3.7% from the same month last year to 237,749 tonnes.
Chicken meat production fell 5.6% compared with the previous month. During the same period, chicken egg production rose 7.1% month on month and 21.4% year on year, reaching 2,040,054,000 eggs.
The number of chickens slaughtered in August also rose 1.6% year on year to 128,675,000. Between January and August, chicken egg production increased by 18.8%, the number of chickens slaughtered by 1.4% and chicken meat production by 1.4%.
