The Turkish Grain Board (TMO) has decided to offer 5.5 million tons of bread and durum wheat to the market from October 5.
TMO has reassessed the volume, procedures and principles of grain sales conducted through the Türkiye Products Specialized Exchange (TÜRİB) since September 1, in line with market developments and industry needs.

It said that stock levels had reached a strong level following stocks carried over from previous years and purchases made this year. In this context, it decided to increase sales of bread and durum wheat.
Sales will be conducted through two channels
Stocks held in licensed warehouses will continue to be sold openly through TÜRİB. Stocks in TMO warehouses will also be made available for open sale to users.

TMO announced that no changes or increases had been made to the sale prices set and announced during the harvest period.
The institution will continue to monitor developments in domestic and international markets, the balance between supply and demand, and industry needs in the coming period. Detailed information about the sales will be available on TMO's website and at its offices.
