Türkiye's Pretoria Embassy marks Republic's 103rd anniversary with reception
South African officials, diplomatic mission representatives and Turkish citizens attended the 29 October Republic Day reception hosted by Türkiye's Embassy in Pretoria.
Türkiye's Embassy in Pretoria hosted a 29 October Republic Day reception to mark the 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye.
South African officials, diplomatic mission representatives, Turkish citizens and many other guests attended the reception.
Guests gathered for the Republic's anniversary
The embassy said the reception marking the anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic brought together South African officials, members of the diplomatic corps, citizens and other guests.
Speeches were delivered outdoors in front of Turkish and South African flags. Guests listened to the speeches standing. Children attending the celebration also posed for commemorative photos with red balloons bearing the crescent and star.
