Türkiye's unemployment rate fell to 7.9% in the second quarter
The Turkish Statistical Institute announced that the unemployment rate fell by 0.3 percentage points from the previous quarter to 7.9% in the second quarter of 2026. The number of unemployed people declined to 2.799 million, while employment rose to 32.479 million.
