Two killed, four injured as car hits water channel in Kastamonu
A car crashed into a water channel in the Tosya district of Kastamonu after the driver lost control. Two people were killed and four others injured.
Two people died and four were injured in a traffic crash on the D100 highway in the Karşıyaka Mahallesi area of the Tosya district of Kastamonu.
The Opel with license plate 34 FLB 192, driven by S. Ö., veered out of control and hit a water channel after the driver lost control.
Two Killed in Crash
N. Ö. and E. Ö., who were in the vehicle, died at the scene. The driver S. Ö., along with A. Ö., E. Ö., and another E. Ö., were injured.
Upon notification, fire, medical, police, and gendarmerie teams were dispatched to the scene. Fire crews extricated the injured who were trapped in the vehicle.
The injured received initial treatment at the scene before being taken to Tosya State Hospital. The bodies of the deceased were transported to the morgue.
An investigation into the crash has been launched.
