Russia's largest e-commerce platform Wildberries' CEO Tatyana Kim announced that the attacks on the company have seriously affected not only Russia but also thousands of entrepreneurs from different countries.
Kim argued that the claim that "the company sells military-purpose products" was used to justify the attacks, and emphasized that the platform offers a general product range like Amazon or Alibaba.
Stating that "tens of thousands of people from different countries do business in the Wildberries ecosystem" and that "attacks on Wildberries' infrastructure are attacks on innocent civilians," Kim noted that entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Uzbekistan, and China have suffered billions of rubles in losses.
Warehouses reinforced, most attacks thwarted
CEO Kim stated that logistics centers are equipped with all necessary protective tools and that systems are modernized every day, adding, "The fact that we successfully thwart the majority of attacks is direct proof of this."
Two-stage support package for sellers
Kim reported that sellers whose products were damaged in the attacks received support payments in two stages, and said that large partners were provided with additional discounts and deferrals on credit payments.
Noting that the logistics infrastructure is being rearranged as quickly as possible, Kim said, "To maintain delivery speed and product circulation, we are distributing our partners' products to different logistics facilities."
Comprehensive aid package being discussed with government
Tatyana Kim stated that they are discussing comprehensive support measures for entrepreneurs with the Russian government, and noted that the aid package being prepared will be announced in the coming days.
Ukraine has been carrying out intense attacks on various logistics centers belonging to Wildberries in recent days.
