Despite harsh terrain conditions in the winter season, it is aimed to maintain uninterrupted patrols along the border line. With the increased technical capacity for this purpose, it is planned to prevent the closure of patrol routes.
Officials state that the active use of snow blowing vehicles will support security activities along the border line and make patrol mobility less affected by adverse weather conditions.
Snow thickness at critical level
The snow thickness reaching up to 3 to 4 meters in some areas makes keeping the road open along the border line even more important. Therefore, the deployment of vehicles especially on transit routes draws attention.
Snow blowing vehicles not only clear accumulated snow but also maintain the usability of patrol lines. Thus, it is aimed to contribute to the overall security level along the border line.
Context: Harsh climate and difficult terrain conditions increase the need for technical equipment in border security efforts. Such vehicles play a critical role especially during periods of heavy snowfall to prevent disruption of patrol order.
