However, the organizing committee's announcement gives the dates for the Istanbul program as November 4-8.
Young Filmmakers Workshop at Beykent University
The Istanbul program will center on the Young Filmmakers Workshop, which will be held at Beykent University. The workshop aims to enable participants from different countries of the Turkic world to share their knowledge and experience, develop joint projects and strengthen communication among the cinemas of the Turkic world. The program will also feature screenings of award-winning documentaries.
In an invitation letter sent on October 27 and signed by TDGF President and Organizing Committee Chair Menderes Demir, Associate Professor Gulzhanat Tayauova, a faculty member at Turan University in Kazakhstan, was invited to serve as the workshop moderator. The organizing committee will cover the invited participants' transportation, accommodation and food expenses.

Young filmmakers from eight countries presented their work in Ankara
During the Ankara leg of the program, young filmmakers from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Türkiye discussed their countries' cinema histories and their ongoing work at sessions held at the TÜRKSOY headquarters. The Ankara events concluded on October 9 with the gala and awards ceremony of the 11th Turkic World Documentary Film Festival, held in Keçiören.

According to the TDGF, young filmmakers from Türkiye, the seven Turkic republics, autonomous Turkic republics, and Turkic and related communities are expected to participate in the meeting. The program includes a forum, masterclasses, a workshop, meetings with veteran directors and actors, and talks. It will conclude with the establishment of the Young Filmmakers of the Turkic World Platform.

Demir said the project was prepared in line with the Organization of Turkic States Vision Document 2040, adding that its primary aims were to develop cooperation among young filmmakers, increase cultural interaction and contribute to the implementation of joint cinema projects.
