Adana drug operation seizes 5,917 pills, 4 arrested
In a drug operation in the Seyhan district of Adana, 5,917 prescription-only narcotic pills, 1 kilo 781 grams of marijuana, and numerous weapons were seized. Of the 8 suspects detained, 4 were arrested.
Teams from the Adana Provincial Police Department's Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch carried out simultaneous operations targeting drug dealers in the Seyhan district.
In raids on the homes and workplaces of 8 suspects in the Barbaros, Kocavezir, and Şakirpaşa neighborhoods, 5,917 prescription-only narcotic pills, 1 kilo 781 grams of marijuana, 5 cannabis plants, 4 unlicensed pistols, and 186 bullets were seized.
Pills Hidden in the Attic
The narcotic pills were found hidden in the attic of a raided workplace. The pills, uncovered after a meticulous search by police teams, had a high street value.
The 8 suspects detained in the operation were referred to the courthouse after procedures at the police station. Four of the suspects were arrested, while the other four were released under judicial control.
