Ambassador Başçeri attends Republic Day ceremony in Lefkoşa
Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Ali Murat Başçeri, attended a ceremony held in front of the Lefkoşa Atatürk Monument for Republic Day on October 29. State officials from the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus also attended the ceremony.
The 103rd anniversary of the founding of the Republic of Türkiye was also commemorated with ceremonies in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). Türkiye’s Ambassador to Lefkoşa, Ali Murat Başçeri, attended the ceremony held in front of the Lefkoşa Atatürk Monument.
TRNC President Tufan Erhürman, Republic Assembly Speaker Ziya Öztürkler and Prime Minister Ünal Üstel also attended the ceremony. Wreaths were laid at the monument, and military units also took part in the ceremony.
Başçeri writes message in monument guestbook
In a message he wrote in the monument’s special guestbook, Ambassador Başçeri said they would continue defending the Turkish nation’s rights in the Eastern Mediterranean.
Ceremonies and commemorative programs were also held in different cities across the TRNC for Republic Day.
