Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei said he does not fully understand the exponentially accelerating pace of artificial intelligence development.
Amodei said this pace was a warning sign that the industry should slow down, adding that it did not require immediate panic or a halt to all work.
Call for safety standards and rules
Amodei said measures that can keep pace with the development of artificial intelligence are needed, adding that companies should come together to establish safety standards.
Amodei also stressed that the industry should set rules on the speed at which artificial intelligence systems are released and cooperate with governments to implement these measures.

Anthropic employee criticizes responsibility
Jacob Coxon, who had worked as a researcher at OpenAI and Anthropic for the past three years, resigned from Anthropic, one of the two companies he argued had not acted responsibly enough on artificial intelligence.
Coxon alleged that the companies were engaged in an uncontrolled race to develop artificial intelligence systems capable of improving themselves. He claimed these systems could quickly become superhuman entities with broad capabilities and resources.
Coxon also alleged that industry employees developing artificial intelligence models seriously believed these systems could cause the extinction of humanity within 10 years.
