Global markets remain negative
Risk appetite came under pressure in global markets as renewed tensions between the United States and Iran pushed up oil prices and heightened inflation concerns. Rising expectations of interest-rate hikes in the United States and Europe, along with higher global bond yields, also contributed to the negative trend in the markets.
Markets will monitor data releases abroad
Analysts expect a quiet data calendar in Türkiye. Abroad, markets will follow weekly mortgage applications, ADP private-sector employment, factory orders and durable goods orders in the United States, as well as the Federal Reserve's Beige Book report.
Technically, 14,100 and 14,000 points were assessed as support levels for the BIST 100 index, while 14,300 and 14,400 points were identified as resistance levels.
