Trade Minister Ömer Bolat met with representatives of member countries at the 42nd Ministerial Session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (COMCEC), held in Istanbul.
Bolat shared Türkiye’s experience in trade and exports at the Ministerial Exchange of Views Session held under the theme “Developing Effective Trade Finance Instruments to Increase Exports in OIC Member Countries.” The session assessed mechanisms that would strengthen the export capacity of Islamic countries and diversify financing opportunities.

“Strong trade ties during uncertain times contribute to shared prosperity”
In a post about the meeting, Bolat said, “The way to turn the economic potential of the Islamic world into tangible gains is through developing our trade, increasing our investments and bringing our economic solidarity together on a strong foundation of cooperation.”
Emphasizing that strong trade ties established between countries during a period of rising uncertainty and competition in the global economy would contribute not only to growth but also to shared prosperity, Bolat said Türkiye considers developing its relations with friendly and brotherly countries on the basis of mutual trust and a win-win approach among its priority goals.

Bolat said that during bilateral talks with ministers from OIC member countries on the sidelines of the meeting, they discussed steps to deepen existing cooperation, opportunities to develop mutual trade and new partnership opportunities.
