Damascus International Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Turkish School to open on October 4
A 36-classroom Turkish school with capacity for about 1,000 students will open in the Artuz area of Damascus under Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education.
The Damascus International Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Turkish School, which will operate under Türkiye’s Ministry of National Education, will open on October 4 in the Artuz area of the Syrian capital.
Covering kindergarten, primary, middle and high school, the school has 36 classrooms and capacity for around 1,000 students. The ministry said it aims to support stability in Syria, speed up returns, help the children of returning families adapt and strengthen historical, cultural and human ties between Türkiye and Syria through education.
