Ferhat Gündoğdu, head of Türkiye’s Central Referee Board (MHK), denied all accusations against him in his statement to police in an investigation into referees led by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Gündoğdu was referred to court along with six others, including Turkish Football Federation officials and heads of referee associations. The probe covers allegations of harassment and forgery of official documents, while Super Lig referee Yasin Kol and assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel were detained over alleged violations of the law on illegal betting.

The federation said it was cooperating with investigators and denied claims that digital material had been deleted from the VAR room before police inspected it.
