Daughter of Turkish singer Güllü sentenced to aggravated life in her death
A court in Yalova sentenced Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter, daughter of singer Gül Tut, known as Güllü, to aggravated life in prison for the premeditated murder of her mother, who fell from a window in 2025. The ruling can be appealed.
The Yalova 1st High Criminal Court sentenced Tuğyan Ülkem Gülter to aggravated life imprisonment for the premeditated intentional killing of her mother, singer Gül Tut, known as Güllü, who died on Sept. 26, 2025, in Çınarcık.
Güllü fell about 18 meters from a window of her top-floor home in a six-story building. Prosecutors alleged that her daughter deliberately pushed her.
The court considered message records in which the defendant allegedly wrote lines such as "When will she die?", audio from security cameras, an expert report by Istanbul Technical University and witness statements. Gülter denied the charges, saying she did not see her mother fall. The ruling can be appealed.
