The Diaspora, Diplomacy, and Career Academy Program for Turkish youth has started in Brussels. Held at the Brussels office of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the program brings together young people living abroad who are studying in social sciences fields.
The opening of the program was conducted by Turkey's NATO Permanent Representative Ambassador Basat Öztürk, Turkey's Ambassador to Brussels Görkem Barış Tantekin, Turkey's Consul General in Brussels Onur Sevim, and Deputy President of the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB) Ahmet Alemdar.
Diplomacy and Career-Focused Training for Youth
The program targets senior undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students studying law, political science, international relations, and related fields.
Expert academicians and diplomats will explain Turkey's relations with the European Union and NATO, negotiation techniques in modern diplomacy, collective defense doctrines, and career paths in international institutions as part of the program.
Visits to EU and NATO Institutions Planned
The program also includes high-level visits to EU and NATO institutions and career workshops. These activities aim to help young participants combine their theoretical knowledge with field observations and expand their professional networks.
Officials aim for the program to contribute to training young people equipped to play an active role in the Euro-Atlantic network. Additionally, participants are expected to contribute to Turkey's multilateral diplomacy with a broader perspective.
Certificates to Be Awarded to Participants
Youth who successfully complete the program will receive a participation certificate from YTB. The program aims to support Turkish youth living in Brussels academically and professionally in the field of diplomacy.
