Emine Erdoğan meets Mihriban and Leyla Aliyeva over tea in Shusha
Emine Erdoğan, accompanying President Erdoğan on his visit to Azerbaijan, met Azerbaijan's First Lady Mihriban Aliyeva and her daughter Leyla Aliyeva for tea in Shusha.
Emine Erdoğan, wife of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, had tea in Shusha with Mihriban Aliyeva, wife of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice President, and her daughter Leyla Aliyeva during the visit to Azerbaijan for November 8 Victory Day. The Azerbaijani Presidency released photos from the gathering.
Emine Erdoğan also attended the official welcoming ceremony in Shusha alongside President Erdoğan. She walked side by side with Mihriban Aliyeva during the ceremony and appeared in commemorative photographs taken with the two families together.
In a message marking the significance of the day, Emine Erdoğan said, "I wholeheartedly celebrate Azerbaijan's November 8 Victory Day, whose joy and pride we share. I remember with mercy and gratitude all the heroes of brotherly Azerbaijan who sacrificed their lives for this historic victory."
Following a one-on-one meeting in Shusha, President Erdoğan and Aliyev also held a joint press conference before visiting the Khojaly Genocide Memorial and the Victory Monument in Khankendi.
